Troopers uses a class-based system of play for Objective Match
games. Each class has its own unique abilities, strengths, and
weaknesses. It is, therefore, essential that teams work together,
each player supplementing the lackings of his team mates. Below
is a listing of all the available classes and their backgrounds.

Imperial
Scout
Scout Pistol
Sorosuub X-45 Sniper
Electro Binoculars
These specialized Stormtroopers, designated as scouts, wear lightweight
armor that is considerably more flexible than the standard issue.
Much like their infantry counterparts, scout troopers wear a black
crystal-weave body glove underneath distinctive white scout armor.
They often work in conjunction with light recon vehicles, such
as Imperial speeder bikes, and are often referred to as 'Biker
Scouts'. Their helmet is more versatile than the standard helmet.
Its optics allows magnification of distant objects, multiple targeting,
night vision and energy detection. Provided with standard Imperial
weapons, the Scout usually sees an enemy long before he is seen,
and takes deadly action before the enemy can react. This also allows
him to call in air support if an Imperial fleet or base is in range.

Imperial Heavy Gunner
BlasTech T21 Repeating Blaster Rifle PLX Rocket Launcher
These are the troops who are called in to take down heavily
fortified positions or lay down cover fire for advancing troopers. Their BlasTech T21's can pin down enemy
troops while cutting down any that step into the open. They also serve in the roll of taking down enemy vehicles, often
Imperial equipment that has fallen into enemy hands.

Imperial Trooper
E11 Blaster Rifle Thermal Detonators
Military
soldiers unswervingly loyal to the Emperor, Imperial Stormtroopers
represent the most visible extension of the Empire's might. They are
'shock' troopers, meant to strike with speed and overwhelming numbers
to decimate any enemy. They are often used when putting down
insurrections and maintaining order on the far-flung worlds of the
Empire. The distinctive bone-white armor and skull-like helmet design
are both facets of the Emperor's most important maxim: rule through
Fear. Many thousands of Stormtroopers serve in both the ground-based
armies of Palpatine's forces, and the space-based Imperial Star Fleet.
They provide the iron hand that enforces the Emperor's will across the
breadth of the galaxy.

Imperial
Engineer
Merr Son Power 5 BlasTech DLT19 Heavy Blaster Rifle 7-PrG Proton Grenade
Imperial
engineers service the immense war machine that is the Empire, all in
the name of the Emperor. The heavy reliance of the Empire on advanced
technology means its Engineering Corps is vast and well supplied. They
have a huge variety of tools at their disposal, allowing them to do
quick and effective field repairs. The complex nature of the Imperial
weaponry often means it fails at critical moments during battle.
Engineers are thus vital to the success of any mission for the Empire
where repair or improvisation is involved. They are well-equipped for
battle as well, able to move with frontline troops to secure any
position as well as to use demolitions skills to deny enemies the use
of defensive locations.

Imperial
Medic
BlasTech E11 Blaster Rifle MedPac
Although
the medic doesn't come to mind as the most important class in the ranks
of the Imperial Army, they are crucial during (and after) every battle.
They greatly contribute to the Empire's victory by healing any injured
teammates. Their extensive training and exceptionally well-equipped
medpacs make the Medic indispensable in front-line units. Indeed,
oftentimes Stormtrooper units will work to protect their Medics during
battle, to ensure they are around to see to the other Imperial's wounds
once the fighting is done. A Stormtrooper serves the Empire best by
living to fight another day, and in combat having a medic nearby
usually ensures this and assuming that the Rebels who attacked have
fairly poor aim. They are also trained to stun enemy combatants for
questioning later.

Rebel
Scout
Fleet Officer Pistol BlasTech A280 Blaster Rifle Electro Binoculars
Scouts
are the eyes and ears of the Alliance. They are trained to work
unnoticed, seeking out the enemy and reporting their findings back to
Rebel battle troops. The scout's long-range weapon makes them lethal,
as they usually operate beyond the visual range of their targets.
Scouts often rely on stealth to achieve their mission goals, operating
below an enemy's threshold of awareness until it is too late. By
reporting enemy troop movements, positions and numbers, a scout can
turn the tide of battle quickly in favour of the Rebel troops. Timely
and accurate intelligence data is very valuable in battle operations.
Yet a scout's deadliest weapon is something intangible and utterly
devastating in war: total and utter surprise. And like their Imperial
counterparts, with Rebel forces in orbit they can also summon an air strike.

Rebel
Heavy Gunner
BlasTech DLT20A Pulse Rifle
Heavy Gunners in the Rebel forces are often those
who have been heavier equiped then their Trooper breathren. Train with the DLT20A to
pin down encroching enemy forces while their squad moves in to finish them off. They are also trained
with the deadly and accurate PLX rocket launchers which have been in use since the Clone Wars. They use
these weapons to take on Imperial Walkers and scout bikes. Without this deadly addition to the Rebel
arsenal, many fights would be lost almost as soon as they had begun.

Rebel
Trooper
BlasTech A280 rifle Thermal Detonators
Rebel
troopers are the backbone of the Alliance army, drawn from all walks of
life but united by one burning goal: the downfall of the Empire. Their
flexible training allows them to tackle a wide variety of problems that
would stymie regular military troops. With the Alliance always being
critically short of equipment, Rebel troopers are trained on a wide
variety of weapons, never knowing when they may need to 'make do' with
the equipment they have on hand on any given mission. Most Rebel
troopers are also highly individualistic, which makes them dangerous
when combined with their hatred of the Imperial war machine. Overall,
what they lack in numbers compared to the Imperials, they more than
make up for in spirit alone.

Rebel
Engineer
DL44 Blaster Pistol Modified E11 Blaster Rifle 7-PrG Proton Grenade
The
Rebel Army utilizes equipment scrounged from across the galaxy. More
often than not, the equipment is broken or is more than past its
projected useful lifespan. This is where the Rebel engineers come in:
they are masters at repairing nearly all types of equipment on the
spot. Their wealth of technical experience allows them to turn what
other engineers would call junk into serviceable machinery. Time after
time, Rebel engineers salvage the parts of one wrecked machine to
repair another, creating a 'patchwork' effect that is common to many
Rebel vehicles and equipment. Their expertise also allows them to slice
most computer systems within mere seconds, giving the Alliance an edge
when dealing with Imperial codes.

Rebel
Medic
BlasTech DH-17 Blaster Pistol MedPac
In
an army as small as the Alliance's, each individual is of great
importance to the cause. The loss of any personnel is felt keenly, as
the losses cannot be easily replaced. Rebel medics are trained to save
lives where even just a tiny spark of life remains. Those they tend are
able to get back into battle sooner than anyone could imagine, all due
to the skill of their medical attendants. Like the Rebel engineers who
work miracles with machines, Rebel medics work miracles with the most
basic of supplies and little else. Given time and a little rest, most
Rebels can expect to be healed of most wounds within a very short
period of time. Medics save lives and often risk their own to do so,
again and again, in true Rebel fashion. These medics also work in the front
to capture and detain enemy Troopers.
